I started taking photographs when was I was twelve-years-old. My first cameras were disposables that my mother purchased for me at the grocery store.
As I got older, my passion for photography blossomed. In high school, I took a photography class that put me in a dark room and allowed me to develop my own film. Placing the paper into the liquid developer and waiting to see what would appear can only be described as magic.
Soon after my explorations with film, I started shooting digital with a point & shoot. Then, in 2006, I purchased my first DSLR as I embarked on a summer journey to Kenya, Africa. When I started shooting on a DSLR the world of digital photography opened up for me & my passion was ignited.
You don’t take a photograph, you make it. —Ansel Adams
Over the years, my skill has grown alongside of my passion. Today I shoot with what I would describe as my “dream camera” — a Canon 5D Mark III.
Capturing life’s precious moments brings me immense joy. I would be honored to document a part of your life and hope to hear from you soon. xo
